Who are we?

REKKI (https://rekki.com/) is transforming the ordering experience between restaurants and their food suppliers - making it as efficient & simple as sending a text without sacrificing reliability. We believe independent restaurants are fundamental to society; they provide a space for people to connect and talk to each other. As the restaurant industry resurfaces we are eager to bring it back stronger than ever by optimising the food supply chain, building new restaurant - supplier connections through our marketplace, and saving chefs valuable time. Founded by former restaurant owners & backed by a stellar board from the likes of Benchmark & Atomico, we are poised to deliver on that promise.

Engineering at REKKI

Being part of the tech team at REKKI means being part of building something that does not currently exist. It is an exciting and rewarding challenge. To be a Software Engineer with us means not just moving tickets from 'in-progress' to 'done', we want people to think, be close to the user, and work as a team to remove the mist from the supplier - restaurant market.

Our engineering teams consist of a Product Owner, Developers, Designers, QA engineers and Data Scientists.

What would you be doing:

As a Front End Developer at REKKI you will work with a team of incredibly capable individuals on a mission to build a product that revolutionises the way in which chefs interact with their suppliers. You will have a direct impact on the roadmap and the execution of the ideas that your team comes up with including the possibility for you to implement the feature end-to-end, from doing the API endpoint to the UI components. We also encourage you to spend some time with the chefs and suppliers (yes, that means you can work in a restaurant for a few days if you like!) in order to build a better understanding of how their world works and therefore improve our product.

What we are looking for:

• Have excellent communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal.
• 2+ years of react-native experience or 3+ years react web experience
• TypeScript is a plus
• Experience with k8s and golang is a plus
• SQL experience is a plus
• Passion for user experience
• Highly responsible, self-motivated, and able to thrive in an energetic, fast-paced, high-growth environment. Exhibits ownership of projects and tasks assigned.
• Strong team player with a customer service orientation with the ability to forge relationships at all levels of the company and across diverse cultures.
