Payroll Lead

You Will:
- You will be the primary owner of all things related to payroll and benefits, including best practices
- You will be designing, implementing, and building the company’s entire global payroll function as it expands
- You will ensure that the company is up to date with payroll compliance and tax filings in Canada, United States, Australia, and Europe
- You will oversee employee benefits plan design and administration
- You will ensure that our employees are paid in an accurate and timely manner
- You will work closely with HR and Finance to ensure all employee documentation is accurate and compiled on time for processing
- You will ensure payroll data, including bonuses, vacation, and variable compensation accruals, are reflected accurately in the accounting system
- You will assist in variable compensation and stock option plan administration
- You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payroll and benefits issues
- You will lead the integration of new HRIS with our payroll software and also the consolidation of all US/CA payroll under one software system
You:
- Have 5-7 years of experience in a finance/accounting or payroll/benefits role in a company with 200+ employees
- Have completed a bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field
- CPA, CHRP, PCP or CPM certification is an asset
- Have significant experience with payroll systems and Human Resource Information Systems (ADP and TriNet experience is an asset)
- Experience with United States labour law and payroll
- Are interested in emerging technologies and are always looking for improvement and efficiency in processes
- Have strong project management skills
- Thrive in a customer service role
