These Terms of Service govern your use of this website and any engagement with Remote Skills Ltd. By accessing the site or arranging services with us, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

Remote Skills Ltd provides software engineering, consulting, and related technology services. Specific deliverables, timelines, and fees are agreed in writing before work begins.

Where a signed written agreement exists between you and Remote Skills Ltd for a specific engagement, that agreement takes precedence over these Terms of Service.

2. Discovery calls and audits

Discovery calls, audits, and initial consultations are for qualification purposes only. They do not constitute:

• Free technical consulting or architecture work;
• A deliverable, specification, or professional advice upon which you may rely;
• An obligation on Remote Skills Ltd to provide a proposal or enter into a paid engagement.

Any suggestions or recommendations made during preliminary conversations are informal and provided without warranty or liability. Detailed analysis, architecture, recommendations, or written deliverables require a signed engagement and payment.

3. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise agreed in a signed contract:

• All proposals, estimates, documentation, architecture diagrams, and materials shared by Remote Skills Ltd remain our exclusive property.
• No intellectual property rights are transferred to you prior to full payment for the relevant work.
• You may not use, reproduce, distribute, or build upon our materials without our prior written consent.

4. Confidentiality

We treat information shared by prospective clients as confidential and expect the same courtesy in return. Either party may request a mutual non-disclosure agreement before sensitive information is exchanged.

5. Payments and refunds

Fees, payment schedules, and invoicing terms are set out in the applicable proposal or contract. All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

No refunds. All fees paid to Remote Skills Ltd are non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances as determined by Remote Skills Ltd in its sole discretion. We do not issue refunds on the basis of changed requirements, change of mind, or dissatisfaction where the agreed work has been performed in good faith.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remote Skills Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to use of this website or any preliminary discussions. Our total liability for any claim relating to services performed under a signed contract shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for those services.

7. Warranties and disclaimers

This website and any preliminary information are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Warranties for delivered work, if any, are set out in the applicable contract.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
