We’re growing quickly and are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to develop web applications that are used by a passionate group of users every day. This isn’t just a developer role, though. Working across teams, you will be a creative contributor to the entire Agile development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and monitoring. Sounds good to you? Join us.
What you'll do as a Senior Software Engineer:
- Write clean, well-organized, testable, and reusable JavaScript/Typescript code.
- Build performant, well-tested User Interface components in React and Redux.
- Improve performance by identifying and fixing bottlenecks using industry standard patterns and practices.
- Participate in product spec reviews, technical design reviews, and code reviews.
- Build operational dashboards, actively monitor performance and participate in root cause analysis of production incidents.
- Mentor entry level engineers and enable them to get things done.
What skills you will use:
- Understanding of full frontend lifecycle and JavaScript development best practices (ES6 preferred).
- 2+ years’ experience working in modern frontend frameworks (React, SASS, etc.)
- Experience with common frontend tools like Webpack, NPM, Jest (Cypress is a plus).
- Experience building reusable components with a keen eye towards responsive design and accessibility.
- Experience translating product requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience using tools like Postman to occasionally dive into backend APIs to better understand/troubleshoot the application.
- Experience working remote/working with remote teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical major preferred.
