Sr Software Developer

We are seeking a talented back-end developer to join our team. Be a part of a team that is building systems that enable enterprise businesses to leverage Rackspace and the cloud for application service solutions at scale. You will join a team working to continuously deliver value to our customers, so we are looking for developers who ship early and often while maintaining healthy engineering discipline.
We build API’s that orchestrate complex workflows and technology automation to improve enterprise application services for our customers. We are seeking strong, passionate object-oriented developers, familiar with Python and C# to join our team. We leverage Cloud technologies in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform to deliver cloud first solutions for our systems. We choose technologies that let us deliver quickly with high quality and offer premium product value and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Influence the technical direction for our systems and solutions
- Leverage peers to deliver technical advancements allowing efficient development
- Mentor and help grow junior level software developers
- Collaborate with other developers and product managers, to identify the right technical solutions that achieve product goals
- Continuously broaden and deepen your skill set to solve new technical challenges
- Provide Fanatical Support for our production system by fixing bugs and triaging alerts
- Write clean, maintainable code using engineering best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years practical experience in one or more of the following domains:
- Building and consuming HTTP APIs in a service-oriented architecture
- Building SaaS applications (including handling deployment, monitoring, logging)
- Demonstrated passion for independent learning
- Experience leading development choices for a team that practices continuous delivery
- Ansible and Terraform experience
- DevOps experience building software for infrastructure automation
- DevOps experience building software for Application installation and configuration automation
- Experience leveraging cloud technologies with development solutions
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
