Software Developer

Eagle Harbor Solutions (EHS) is looking for experienced and self-motivated individuals to perform the duties of Software Developer (Remote). The position will be remote supporting EHS and our government customer in Washington, DC.

The Software Developer will serve as part of a development team supporting both established projects and creating from the ground up. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader and team player that is passionate about technology and committed to lifelong learning, possessing the ability to apply their technical knowledge, skills and experience to solve complex/real-world problems.

The team uses several different technologies in our development stack across multiple clients and projects. We continuously evaluate new technologies to make sure we are fully aware and always using the right tool for the job. Examples of the technologies we currently use include:

• Javascript/HTML (React, cypress.io)
• Java (Dropwizard, Jersey, Jetty, Jackson, Maven, JPA, REST)
• AWS (SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Cloudwatch, Firehose, Glue, S3, Lambda)
• DevOps (Jenkins, Terraform, Packer)
• Process (JIRA, Confluence, GIT)

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Required:

• US Citizen or permanent resident living in the US
• 3+ years of development experience
• Javascript/HTML (React)
• Java (Dropwizard, JPA)
• Demonstrable versatility in multiple front-end and back-end technologies
• Deep experience in building RESTful web services and backend web platforms
• Ability to solve complex problems with elegant and maintainable solutions using modern Javascript and Java frameworks

Nice to haves:
 

• AWS (SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Cloudwatch, Firehose, Glue, S3, Lambda)
• DevOps (Jenkins, Terraform, Packer)
• 5+ years of experience with hands-on experience in full-stack development
• Participation on an agile / scrum software delivery team
• A strong foundation in computer science, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
• Prior technical consulting experience working with large enterprise clients
