About the Opportunity

DMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is looking for a Full Stack Web Developer to support connected services at Detriot MI. 

Are you a developer with an Object-Oriented background who has embraced modern web development and is excited about writing TypeScript and JavaScript?  Does your resume tout experience with the latest JavaScript frameworks in Angular, React, and VueDo you enjoy working on a team, on the full breadth of web development, from a Python/Node.js Web API on the backend to enterprise grade client-side development on the front end?

As a Full Stack Web Developer, you’ll develop web applications to support our clients’ business needs. Your results-focused mindset helps in your delivery of successful projects for our firm. You’ll tap into your experience with TypeScript and JavaScript frameworks and related tools to aid in the construction of web-based interactive applications including complex processing, interactions with relational databases and integration with external systems. You’ll also participate in code review activities, development of unit tests and completing bug fixes.  You won’t be focused on one technology or application layer. Rather, you’ll be an asset to your team by developing across all layers of client solutions.

Your Responsibilities 

  • Coding, debugging, and deploying to PaaS offerings 
  • Supporting cloud-based applications 
  • Performing unit, integration, and system testing 
  • Implementing and consuming RESTful web APIs 
  • Creating elegant user interface solutions 

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)  
  • 2+ years of software development experience 
  • Knowledge of web development technologies and tools (HTML5, CSS3, CSS frameworks, Responsive Web Design, JavaScript frameworks, etc.) 
  • Experience working with Angular/Typescript, Vue, or React 
  • Established experience creating RESTful web APIs using Python and/or Node.js 
  • Demonstrable knowledge of object-oriented development 
  • Knowledge of Test-Driven Development, unit testing, and clean code 
  • Knowledge of Git source control or similar 
  • Knowledge of serverless technologies such as Azure FunctionsAWS Lambda, or GCP Cloud Functions 
  • Understanding of testing tools such as Karma, Jest, Protractor, Jasmine, and Mocha 
  • Superb written and oral communication skills 
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, self-motivated, and excellent presentation skills  
  • Ability to effectively work both autonomously as well as on a team 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Consulting experience or experience working directly with end users of your software 
  • Industry standard certifications 
  • Experience helping lead development teams 
  • Background working in an Agile methodology to develop software
