Job description
We are Gfinity! A leading international Esports business created by gamers for the world’s 2.7bn gamers! We are looking for a freelance front-end developer (Vue + React) to join our very talented team on an ad hoc basis. We would like to build a relationship with someone who is comfortable working on different projects and helping us as and when we have a need for extra help. This is not a permanent role and you need to be flexible and comfortable to assist/work with us when the need arises during different periods throughout the year.
We build community and esports-centric products that impact millions of people worldwide. Our team has a passion for making the web a more beautiful, usable, and reliable place. Our primary focus is in the emerging esports industry where we innovate and push boundaries to build amazing experiences for our customers and clients. Along with esports-related products, you will play an integral role in building community-centric features reaching millions of users per month.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our product team to build front-end sites and components
- Write reusable code and libraries that can be used across products
- Work on short-term, contractual, freelance basis
Requirements
- Strong experience with Vue and Nuxt
- Strong experience with SASS, BEM, and Tailwind
- Working knowledge of Storybook
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, class and component composition
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented principles
- Experience working with Figma
- Familiarity with Webpack and NPM
- Familiarity with cross-browser compatibility
- Familiarity with code versioning software such as GIT
- Fluency in English
- Experience working independently
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a small team
Good to have:
- 2-5 years of professional front-end development experience
- Experience developing cross-platform apps for desktop, web, and mobile
- Experience contributing to open-source projects, even if they are your own
- A love for gaming and esports!
